If you are looking to get away and totally unwind then we suggest you do as we did and stay at Komune Resort and Beach Club, Keramas Bali.
Komune Beach Club is located at Keramas in-front of one of the world’s best right hand reef breaks which makes for spectacular surf viewing day & night. Although known as a popular surf location and hosting many surf tournaments Komune is also a great spot to chill out and relax while enjoying the sounds of the surf.
The rooms at Komune are modern in design and feature a choice of a queen bed or 2 two singles, ensuite with shower, high speed Wi-Fi , satellite TV, couch, desk, in-room safe, ceiling fan and air-conditioning. For families, Inter-connecting rooms are also available, upon request. The resort is small with all rooms located at ground floor level.
The highlight of a stay at Komune is time spent at the Beach Club. Komune Keramas Beach Club is designed as your all day place to hang, re-charge and chill out. Kick back and relax on the comfy double sized day beds around the pool while you listen to tunes and watch the surf world go by.
The adjoining restaurant offers vast and tasty menu choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner utilising produce from the onsite organic garden. Their extensive drink list will ensure you remain hydrated. We can highly recommend the range of Sangria’s available by the jug. The perfect refreshment to enjoy poolside!
Your relaxing stay at Komune can continue at the spa located through the garden between the resort and the beach club in a traditional Joglo building. Here you can enjoy a range of massages or a manicure or pedicure. Of course with so many surfers passing through the staff are skilled in soothing tired and aching muscles.
When the sun goes down Komune offers a world first permanent night surfing installation right in front of the resort. Guests can enjoy the amazing spectacle of surfers battling the waves at night or alternatively you can book your own night surf experience.
Komune have several key initiatives in place to ensure they contribute to the sustainability of the beautiful environment they inhabit. They are mindful of beach erosion and as such have not built any sea walls or barriers which could cause beach erosion. They also have a 4 man beach and river clean up team operating daily keeping the beach and river clean. A large percentage of the resorts power supply comes from the solar farm on various roofs throughout the resort. A bio system has been installed to deal with waste water and all water leaving these plants is then pumped to concrete bunded water gardens that allow the water to evaporate through broad leafed plants. Any final water overflow is then used for garden irrigation.
Future plans will see Komune expand with villas and a fitness centre which will include a 25m lap pool, kids club and professional gymnasium facilities.
