Earlier this week Bali Res Centre made a visit to a new cultural attraction in Bali.
Taman Nusa Cultural Park is located in Gianyar, roughly an hour’s drive from Seminyak. The Taman Nusa Cultural Park is set on 15 hectares of land overlooking the Melangit river and hills filled with natural vegetation. This privately owned park has been lovingly created over the past 6 years. All buildings have been taken from their original location and rebuilt at the park, giving a totally authentic and unique experience.
The Taman Nusa park allows you to explore The Indonesian archipelago through the ages, starting with the Stone Ages and progressing through to the modern age.
In addition to the traditional houses from varying islands you can also enjoy displays of traditional dance and handicrafts. The tour concludes with a visit to the museum which houses a vast range of traditional items including batik and shadow puppets from various regions of Indonesia.
We highly recommend you make use of the included Tour Guide service to accompany you around the park and share knowledge and history. If you prefer to wander on your own then take advantage of the free app available to download which provides a comprehensive guide to the parks attractions.
There isn’t a lot of shade at the park so the best time of day to visit is mid-afternoon around 3pm to avoid the hottest part of the day.
Make sure you wear plenty of sunscreen and a good hat and a comfortable pair of walking shoes as there is plenty of walking involved.
Overall Taman Nusa is a wonderful cultural and educational experience and provides an enjoyable afternoon for both young and old. The perfect way to “See Indonesia in One Afternoon”
